In the beginning of June, we welcomed our firstborn son, Grayson James, into the world. Never have our hearts felt more full of love! He is the light of our lives and the gravity that holds us to the ground. Through the exhaustion of the first few weeks, we were able to take a few photos which we have for you below. Enjoy!
Merricks at home
Owen was supposed to be a New Year’s Day baby but decided he wanted to try to stay inside as long as possible and made his mom & dad wait an extra week before arriving. We also wish that we had a safe place to hide out for the rest of this year. But we’ve learned a very important lesson on 2020: Baby snuggles make everything better!
Landon Newborn
Not that you can tell from these photos, but this fierce little man was only happy with a pacifier in his mouth. We had about 10 seconds to remove the paci, take the shot, then replace paci before the screaming started again. Naturally, he fell asleep right as we were wrapping up but these photos are just too cute to even try to be mad at him. Hope you enjoy!
Maci Newborn
This beautiful little one just had a successful first of three surgeries on the journey towards correcting her cleft palate. We hope you’ll join us in wishing her continued good luck! In the meantime, enjoy these photos showing how gorgeous Maci has been since the day she was born and how proud her big sister is of her.
Teagan’s Newborn
We aren’t sure who was more awake during this session: Teagan or her 3-year-old older sister. This precious rainbow babe made us work hard for naptime, but made up for it by looking directly into the camera [almost] every time her eyes were open.
Welcome to the world, Teagan! Your older sister cannot wait to show you everything in it!
Ivin’s Newborn Session
We waited (not-so) patiently for 39 weeks and 6 days for this big guy to make his appearance and he certainly did not disappoint! He almost didn’t fit in some of our props, which we think makes the pictures even cuter and was constantly trying to Houdini out of the swaddles. He refused to lay anywhere except on his back or side, despite much prodding and positioning. Big brother and resident cheese-ball, Brayden, could not be prouder of his baby brother. Enjoy all 9lb and 2 oz of pictures with this snuggly babe!
